What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Perform complex data analysis related to commercial insurance, collaborating with various departments to support business objectives
Conduct a range of analyses, including root cause, cost benefit, and performance tracking, to generate actionable insights
Consult with client groups to identify business needs, scope projects, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership
Partner with IT to provide business definitions, data architecture inputs, and perform User Acceptance Testing
Create and maintain key business intelligence artifacts, ensuring accuracy and logical consistency
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 6 years of directly related analytical experience in a related industry
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field
Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing, and mathematical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to make effective presentations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Advanced degree in a related field and/or CPCU designation
Experience in commercial insurance
Working knowledge of R or Python
Experience with automating repetitive tasksDemonstrated ability to contribute to company culture through participation in employee resource groups or similar activities
