What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily
Collaborate closely with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage
Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
Participate in real‑time coverage during breaking news events
Apply SEO and tagging best practices to enhance content discoverability
What is Required (Qualifications):
1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
Proven experience writing and editing online content, including articles and headlines
Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing
Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Strong editorial judgment and a genuine love of news and cultural conversation
Experience publishing or promoting content on platforms like Instagram and Facebook
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
