Overview

Position Summary... What you\'ll do... Sam’s Club’s Member Access Platform (MAP) is transforming how brands connect with millions of highly engaged members. As a Senior Partner, Advertising Sales, you won\'t just sell media — you\'ll architect strategic growth plans that solve real business challenges for our brand partners. This is a high-visibility, highly client-facing role for a creative, strategic seller who thinks beyond tactics and focuses on business outcomes. You\'ll serve as a trusted advisor to advertisers while acting as a pod lead — mentoring teammates, influencing cross-functional partners, and driving measurable revenue growth across your portfolio. If you thrive at the intersection of retail, media, analytics, and strategy — and want to help shape the future of retail media — this role offers both impact and visibility at scale.

Responsibilities

Own and grow a strategic book of business by developing advertising strategies that drive measurable sales impact for brand partners and revenue growth for MAP.

Serve as a consultative business advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating their category challenges and growth goals into full-funnel MAP solutions.

Lead complex, high-value negotiations that protect Sam\'s Club\'s long-term interests while delivering win-win outcomes.

Build multi-year account growth plans grounded in data, category insights, and evolving market dynamics — not just campaign execution.

Leverage advanced analytics and insights to shape compelling narratives, influence client investment decisions, and optimize performance.

Act as a pod leader and mentor, elevating the performance of teammates by modeling best-in-class sales strategy, proposal development, and client engagement.

Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, and Leadership to align advertising programs with broader business objectives.

Drive onboarding and operational excellence for complex advertisers, removing barriers and improving the end-to-end client experience.

Shape how MAP goes to market, contributing new ideas, challenging assumptions, and influencing process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in advertising sales, retail media, eCommerce, or a related consultative selling environment.

A track record of growing revenue through strategic account planning, not just transactional sales.

Demonstrated ability to solve business problems creatively, using data and insights to influence executive-level stakeholders.

Strong financial and business acumen — you understand ROI, forecasting, margin dynamics, and how advertising investment impacts total business performance.

Confidence navigating high-visibility, client-facing environments with strong executive presence.

Proven ability to mentor peers or lead within a pod structure, even without direct people management responsibility.

Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to translate complex analytics into persuasive, business-focused narratives.

A strategic mindset: you think beyond tactics and short-term wins to long-term category and partner growth.
