Analyze Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, and technical specifications to understand project requirements. Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to determine accurate material, labor, and overhead costs. Calculate and develop competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability while securing new business. Prepare and submit detailed, professional, and accurate quotes and proposals to customers within specified deadlines. Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications in the CRM system. Follow up on submitted quotes, address customer inquiries, and negotiate terms to secure orders. Identify potential risks or opportunities associated with quote submissions and communicate them to relevant stakeholders. Recommended Qualifications
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly). Proven experience in cost estimation, pricing models, and margin analysis. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs). Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) relevant to manufacturing costing and quoting. Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly, injection molding). Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI) for cost modeling and trend analysis. Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
