Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer specifications, blueprints, and RFQs to determine project scope and requirements.
Estimate material, labor, and overhead costs for various manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information for accurate quotes.
Prepare and submit comprehensive, competitive, and timely formal quotations to customers.
Utilize ERP and quoting software to process requests, track progress, and maintain data integrity.
Follow up on submitted quotes, manage revisions, and address customer inquiries promptly.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all quoting activities and historical pricing data.
Recommended Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost structures.
Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and advanced Excel for data analysis and quote generation.
Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with common manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
Experience interpreting technical drawings or basic CAD models.
Prior experience with ERP/CRM systems in a manufacturing environment.
