What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental
Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform physical tasks including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
Willingness to use protective clothing or gear as needed
Availability for scheduled shifts and participation in training programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous experience in customer service or retail environments
Familiarity with equipment maintenance or rental processes
Certification in forklift operation (offered through U-Haul upon employment)
Certification for filling propane tanks (offered through U-Haul upon employment)
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service
