Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer Request for Quotes (RFQs) and technical specifications.
Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and other engineering documentation to determine manufacturing requirements.
Calculate and estimate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for manufactured parts and assemblies.
Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to gather necessary data for accurate quotes.
Prepare and present detailed, competitive, and timely proposals and quotes to customers.
Utilize ERP and quoting software to generate and manage quotes efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of all quotes, revisions, and customer communications.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience (2+ years) in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for cost modeling and data analysis.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and associated cost drivers.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with ERP/CRM systems relevant to manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions for data analysis and modeling.
