What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Assist customers with U‑Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
Utilize smartphone‑based U‑Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment, including checking fluid levels
Prepare rental invoices and handle returned equipment
Participate in ongoing education through U‑Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications)
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks requiring safety precautions
Availability to use protective clothing or gear as necessary
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Previous experience in customer service or retail environments
Familiarity with equipment maintenance and inspection
Willingness to obtain certifications for filling propane and driving a forklift
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
