Director of Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team for a hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $250,000 per year + based bonus.
Job Responsibilities
:
Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements, ensuring they comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
Manage direct reports: AR, AP, and bookkeepers.
Direct internal financial audits and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Manage the accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions.
Prepare budgets and forecasts, and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's Degree in required .
7+ years experience in a controller role or similar leadership role in finance.
Proficient in accounting software and systems, digitally proficient (tech Savvy) is required. Experience: Experience reporting with a combination of accounting and finance.
Experience with b eyond traditional accounting, focus on forecasting, budgeting, metrics, and case analyses.
