Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a
Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
for an acute care hospital assignment in Brownwood, TX.
The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver rehabilitation services across a diverse patient population. This role involves assisting with treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and supporting recovery in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Clinical Coverage Areas Therapists will assist in treating:
Orthopedic and post-surgical patients (including total joints)
Neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinson's, etc.)
Cardiopulmonary cases (CHF, COPD, MI)
Geriatric and general acute care populations
Pediatric to adult patient mix
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility
Monitor patient response and report progress to supervising PT
Support discharge planning and patient education
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
Utilize assistive devices and rehabilitation equipment safely
Required Qualifications Active
Texas PTA License
(required at submission) BLS Certification (AHA) Minimum
2 years of PTA experience in acute care or related setting Experience with diverse patient populations
Preferred Qualifications
Acute care hospital experience
Familiarity with
Allscripts / Altera charting systems
Travel experience preferred
Scheduling & Assignment Details
Monday – Friday or rotating schedule (5 days/week)
May include
Saturday coverage
while maintaining 40 hours
7:30 AM – 4:30 PM shifts
Weekend rotation possible depending on schedule
Important Notes

No local candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule)
Facility conducts
on-site drug screening (including marijuana)
– strict compliance required
All compliance labs must be completed within
72 hours of offer
Compliance Requirements Candidates must complete:
Active state licensure and certification verification
Resume and skills checklist
Facility onboarding and modules (6–8 hours, non-billable)
Pre-employment drug screen and health requirements
