Design Intern, Digital Product

ABOUT THE ROLE

Mansueto Ventures is looking for a personable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Design Intern with a strong passion for UI/UX and digital design to join our digital design team. The team manages multiple cross-device projects supporting Inc. Business Media, Fast Company, and Mansueto Ventures corporate initiatives.

This is a hands-on position, concepting and developing branded and co-branded assets, internal sales and marketing documents, and event collateral, as well as developing and maintaining daily content and special editorial packages for the website.

The Design Intern will work a 3-day hybrid schedule (Tuesday-Thursday onsite) based in our New York City office. Remote candidates may be considered if they’re the right fit. Hourly rate: $17.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Ideate, create, and execute visually compelling designs across digital and print spaces.
• Support the lead designer in building and organizing Figma design systems.
• Create branded and co-branded digital assets, including ad units, eblasts and other marketing materials.
• Design engaging presentations, sell sheets and comps for marketing pitches, client meetings, and events.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or Interaction/Digital Design.
• Passionate about learning the ins and outs of digital and UX design.
• Solid portfolio showcasing work that demonstrates strong visual design skills.
• Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong typographic and layout skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to produce designs on tight deadlines as well as strong sense of responsibility to get things done.
