Schedule: 8 hours Assignment Details: Contract Length: 14 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: Current state license to practice Physical Therapy Proof of current CPR certification Current driver's license Reliable transportation and insurance 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Roles & Responsibilities: Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist. Implement non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients. Accurately document patient status and submit clinical paperwork on time. Notify the supervising Physical Therapist of any equipment failures or changes in client status. Schedule clients and perform various office tasks. Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities. Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and assist with education and coaching as needed. Compliance / Notes: Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to specific compliance protocols.
