About the Role We’re seeking a
Senior Construction Superintendent
to lead field operations for major projects across the New York City area. The ideal candidate is an experienced, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in complex construction environments, ensures seamless coordination across teams, and upholds the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
Pull Plan field schedule implementation and execution.
Work with Project Superintendent to ensure day-to-day operations are progressing to achieve Project Milestones.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with individual subcontractors to establish scope duration and incorporation into overall project progression.
Manage subcontractors, site schedules, budgets, materials, and logistics.
Enforce and maintain Sinclair’s safety, quality control, and compliance standards.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and inspectors to ensure efficient project delivery.
Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reports.
Construction documentation analysis and coordination between subcontractors.
Ability to identify, track and resolve issues in advance to avoid delays of field execution.
Large scale (day-to-day by project superintendent) conflict resolution to avoid impacts to the project schedule.
Mentor and develop field staff to strengthen Sinclair’s culture of excellence and accountability.
Coordination of utility, service providers in advance to ensure efficient scope execution of work.
General Oversight of site logistics while collaborating with Project Superintendent for day-to-day execution.
Lead kick off meetings to establish project readiness prior to subcontractor mobilization.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant construction management experience , including at least 5 years as a Superintendent on large-scale commercial or multifamily projects.
Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $20M + .
Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, permitting, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with Pull Planning.
Procore knowledge is a plus.
NYC Superintendent License required ; additional certifications are a plus.
Competitive salary range: $200,000 – $300,000, commensurate with experience
