Job Description
At Regions, the Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and on the phone, and for contributing to the financial wellness of our customers. The role focuses on creating meaningful personal connections while processing transactions, identifying how Regions can meet customer needs, and resolving end‑to‑end customer service inquiries. It is an opportunity for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or retail sales experience who want to start a career with growth and upward mobility.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests such as card replacement, information changes, PIN resets, check reordering, and basic problem resolution.
Develop relationships with customers, staying well‑informed about their account status.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM services.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution.
Refer customers to an internal team of experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified.
Follow all bank processes and procedures, adhere to applicable laws and regulations, and support branch operational risk management.
Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance on Regions’ solutions.
Conduct outbound phone calls with generated lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and support their financial needs.
Eligible for overtime and incentive compensation.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Effective communication in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels.
Proficient computer skills, including typing and sustained screen attention.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
Preferences
One (1) year of banking, cash‑handling, and/or customer service experience.
Skills and Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Support customers with digital banking offerings.
Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills.

Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions.
Job Range Target Minimum: $37,621.05 USD
Median: $44,536.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans Eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan with potential earnings based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
