We are seeking a talented Interior Designer with 3–5 years of experience to support and lead aspects of projects from concept through installation. This role is ideal for a designer who is ready to take on more ownership, strengthen client interaction skills, and grow within a fast-paced, design-driven environment.

You will work closely with senior designers while contributing creatively, managing portions of projects, and helping ensure smooth execution across all phases.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing design concepts, including mood boards, color palettes, materials, and layouts

Support the refinement of design direction in alignment with client goals and firm standards

Produce design presentations including floor plans, elevations, and renderings

Translate client briefs into thoughtful, functional design solutions

Client Interaction & Communication

Participate in client meetings and presentations

Support communication with clients, gathering feedback and implementing revisions

Assist in managing expectations around timelines, budgets, and design decisions

Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness

Project Coordination

Support the day‑to‑day coordination of multiple projects

Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure design intent is executed

Track project progress, timelines, and key deliverables

Assist with site visits and installations

Design Documentation

Prepare technical drawings, CAD files, and design documentation

Assist with material and product selections

Compile design packages and presentations for clients and project teams

Team Collaboration

Work closely with senior designers and project managers

Collaborate with team members to execute design concepts

Take feedback constructively and contribute to a positive team environment

Budget & Procurement Support

Assist with sourcing furniture, materials, and finishes

Support tracking of budgets, proposals, and procurement

Help ensure selections align with project budgets and timelines

Problem‑Solving

Assist in resolving design and project challenges

Support coordination between vendors and contractors when issues arise

Adapt to project changes and revisions with a solutions‑oriented mindset

Research & Trend Awareness

Stay informed on design trends, materials, and products

Research and source new furnishings, finishes, and lighting

Contribute fresh ideas to the design team

Quality Control & Installation Support

Assist during installations to ensure design accuracy

Support final styling and project completion

Help prepare materials for final client presentations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field

3–5 years of experience in residential and/or commercial design

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or rendering software

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Detail‑oriented with a strong design sensibility

Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment

Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Interior Designer based in Austin, TX. The Interior Designer will collaborate on a variety of residential and multifamily projects, involving tasks such as space planning, creating construction drawings, developing design concepts, selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and coordinating with architects and contractors. The role requires strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring alignment with client needs.
