Compliance Manager, International Trade Compliance

The Compliance manager will support the Director of International Trade Compliance in the management and implementation of the export/import compliance program. This is a hybrid position with some in-office presence in McLean, VA. Primary duties and responsibilities include: Ensuring sector-wide compliance with all U.S. export/import laws and regulations, to include the ITAR, EAR, Customs, Foreign Trade Regulations, and other applicable federal government regulations. Drafting matters of interest and investigating non-compliance matters. Preparing and drafting voluntary disclosures as needed. Identifying root case analysis and tracking completion of corrective actions. Providing guidance regarding a wide variety of trade compliance matters, including licensing, agreements, exemptions, exceptions, classification/jurisdiction, and regulatory requirements. Drafting, reviewing, and updating internal trade compliance policies and procedures. Collaborating with other sectors to identify and establish best practices. Participating in preparing export-related training materials and conducting and overseeing export training to all relevant employees. Preparing technical assistance agreements and helping oversee authorization management program. Conducting, participating in, and preparing for export compliance audits on a periodic basis. Required education, experience, and skills: 8+ years with a bachelor's degree. Applicants must have strong leadership and communication skills and be well organized. Preferred education, ITAR experience, and authorization management skills. Experience with OCR's EASE global trade management software. Pay information: Full-time salary range: $118747 - $201870. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
