
Media Sales Account Executive

Antietam Broadband has an immediate opening for a Media Sales Account Executive. We are looking for someone with a winning attitude that is highly motivated. This position is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of all our cable television and digital advertising products. A successful candidate will enhance relationships with current accounts and target potential advertisers to acquire new accounts. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to develop advertising programs that address client needs and grow revenue. Well-developed organization and planning skills will ensure success in servicing the account, including managing orders, meeting sales quotas, complying with company deadlines, handling credit and billing collection, and preparing sales reports for the manager. This is a collaborative, team‑based position that requires solid knowledge of competing media, marketing, and industry practices.

Job Type: Full‑time
Rate: $18,000 – $20,000/year salaried with uncapped commissions
OTE: $70,000 – $90,000/year
Location: Hagerstown, MD (Region)
Position is NOT remote
Earning potential is uncapped with commissions
Responsibilities
Study and understand all facets of the media products and services offered.
Train in approved sales tactics and approaches.
Approach potential clients through new leads, cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events, or other means.
Deliver a skilled sales pitch to potential clients, either by phone or in person, to secure a sale.
Explain the benefits and potential audience of specific media offerings to potential clients.
Detail pricing and negotiate costs when necessary.
Facilitate successful sales by collecting client information and providing order information to the company.
Track every media purchase made to ensure it is completed accurately and on time.
Keep accurate notes detailing all client interactions and activities.
Work to maximize sales and meet quotas in the short and long term.
Maintain excellent relationships with all internal and external colleagues and clients.
Travel to see clients or agency representatives, participate in industry or community events, and attend trainings.
Meet clients from time to time outside of normal business hours when necessary.
Earn bonus compensation when exceeding budget and/or exceptional sales performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or commensurate work experience.
1 year of media experience; digital marketing experience preferred.
Prior experience with television and digital advertising sales preferred.
Understanding of digital advertising products including SEO, SEM, programmatic display, streaming television, video pre‑roll, email marketing, social media advertising, and device ID.
Experience in consultative selling, including pre‑call prospecting, setting appointments, completing comprehensive needs analyses, creating proposals, and closing business.
Ability to use a CRM to track sales activity and revenue.
Ability to use research materials and data to create advertising solution proposals.
Ability to assist clients with advertising copy and coordinate production and scheduling of advertising in collaboration with other departments.
Strong client and agency contacts; well networked.
Strong desire to bring positive energy and robust sales activity to the team.
Ability to present big‑picture concepts while paying attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask, be detail‑oriented, and reliable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CRM, and other internal systems.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
Outgoing personality, interpersonal skills, persuasiveness, likability, confidence, resilience, creativity, adaptability, organization, and good listening skills.
