Overview GovCIO is hiring a Field Service Representative (FSR) responsible for the overall function of the deployable communications system from delivery to deployment. The position is in San Antonio, TX and requires 24/7 onsite support.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, and configure systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics.

Complete system programming and optimization during installation.

Perform routine maintenance and analysis, including hardware configuration and component adjustments.

Provide on‑site end‑user training for operation, maintenance, and limited troubleshooting.

Operate efficiently to conclude all on‑site installation, repair, maintenance, and test activities.

Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Produce frequent analytical service reports.

Collaborate with colleagues and share important information.

Discern customer needs and offer advice or recommendations.

Build trusted relationships with customers.

Diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.

Maintain effective customer communications and relations.

May provide onsite training to customer support personnel.

Familiar with SATCOM terminals and networking equipment.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate.

Train daily with customers on system deployment and troubleshooting.

Independent, self‑starter.

Qualifications

High school diploma with 3–6 years of related experience.

Clearance required: Active TS SCI.

1–3 years of networking and/or system administration experience.

DoD 8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security).

Ability to support 24/7 operations.

Preferred Skills

Experience with DoD deployed communications.

Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networks.

IT Help Desk experience.

Salary USD $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year.
