Fridays are a flex day and can be taken remotely.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate cost estimates for miscellaneous and architectural steel fabrication projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong analytical skills to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
Estimator Key Responsibilities
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine scope of work and materials required.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates.
Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain an up-to-date database of costs and pricing for materials and labor.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to gather essential project information.
Prepare and present bids and proposals in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle as needed.
Estimator Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the steel fabrication industry, focused on miscellaneous and architectural steel.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam or similar tools).
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
