AmeriStaff is seeking a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative to join a well-established, community-focused insurance agency with a strong reputation in Southwest Virginia. Responsible for servicing and supporting personal lines insurance accounts while maintaining strong client relationships and helping retain and grow the agency's personal lines book of business.

In-office position Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. $40,000 per year Responsibilities of a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative:
Provide professional, responsive service to an assigned book of personal lines accounts Manage renewals for all personal lines accounts, including binding coverage, reviewing policies for accuracy, preparing agency bill invoices, creating renewal proposals, and coordinating policy delivery Respond promptly and effectively to customer service requests, including resolving complex coverage and underwriting issues Handle service activities such as endorsements and policy changes in accordance with company and carrier guidelines Follow department policies and procedures, prioritizing work according to established standards Effectively manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Work independently in the performance of daily responsibilities Maintain and enhance insurance knowledge through continuing education, professional publications, and industry involvement Assist management with special projects and other duties as assigned Identify and obtain information from outside sources when needed to support client service Requirements: Requirements of a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative :
High School Diploma required; four-year degree preferred Previous customer service experience required (2-3 years handling personal lines insurance accounts preferred) Active Property & Casualty insurance license required Professional insurance designations (ACSR, AAI, CIC) preferred but not required Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, customer-focused approach Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills Salesforce experience preferred, but not required Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional work ethic Job Type: Permanent Post Date: 04/22/2026
