Job Summary
FlexForce Pros is seeking an experienced Marine Electrical Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on older vessels. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can diagnose issues without relying on schematics and work independently in the field. Company truck will be provided.
Job Duties
Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems with little to no documentation
Service generators, switchboards, VFDs, MCCs, and motor controls
Work on legacy systems and real‑world field issues
Perform repairs safely and efficiently on active vessels
Minimum Requirements
Education
High School Education or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
Strong background in marine electrical service & repair (not just new construction)
Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Experience with generators, VFDs, MCCs, and control systems
Comfortable working without drawings or with limited documentation
Reliable, hands‑on, and problem‑solver mindset
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly without assistance
Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
Comfortable working in a refinery environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
