DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will lead and support nursing services for individuals living at Selinsgrove Center while ensuring care meets health and safety standards. The work focuses on guiding staff, maintaining quality care, and supporting a safe, therapeutic environment. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
Nursing Leadership:
Guide and support nursing staff in providing safe and effective care for residents
Care Oversight:
Evaluate nursing practices and monitor treatment plans to ensure proper health care delivery
Staff Coordination:
Assign duties, review performance, and maintain appropriate staffing levels in assigned areas
Policy Compliance:
Ensure nursing services follow federal, state, and facility rules, standards, and procedures
Training Support:
Educate staff on nursing practices, health procedures, and safety expectations
Quality Monitoring:
Review care processes and help identify improvements that support resident well-being

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 3rd shift (10:15 PM to 6:15 AM), with alternating weekends, rotating days off during the week, and a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or
Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
