Position Summary
The Mid-Level Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure. This role supports daily network operations, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and security across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and a strong foundation in network security and systems support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and implement patches, upgrades, and enhancements
Configure and support LAN/WAN environments, VPNs, and core network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory
Lead hands-on network deployments, implementations, and configuration changes
Maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, and change management records
Implement and enforce network security policies; respond to security incidents as needed
Support security platforms and tools including Forcepoint, Secure Access, Globalscape, and CrowdStrike
Provide support for Windows Server and desktop environments
Support Microsoft 365 and cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues
Participate in on-call rotation, including off-hours and weekend support as required
Required Skills & Experience
3–5+ years of hands-on network administration experience
Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
Experience with Cisco networking equipment and firewall technologies
Solid knowledge of network security principles and tools
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent documentation and communication abilities
