Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a Design Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for electric transmission, distribution, or generation systems. The engineer will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for utility infrastructure projects.
Perform calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and regulatory agencies.
Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and safety regulations.
Review and approve vendor drawings and submittals.
Support construction and commissioning activities.
Utilize CAD software and engineering tools for design documentation.
Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
0–5 years of engineering experience (entry-level to mid-level roles).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
EIT or PE license preferred (depending on level).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in utility or energy sector.
Familiarity with FERC/NERC regulations and utility standards.
Project management experience or certification (PMP).
Office-based with occasional field visits.
May require travel to project sites or other company locations.
