Location: Oak Ridge High School
Position Type: Full-Time Certified Teacher
Start Date: 7/20/2026
Oak Ridge High School seeks a qualified Graphic Arts / Digital Arts & Design Teacher to teach courses within the Arts & A/V Communications Career Cluster. This position will provide instruction aligned with Tennessee Career & Technical Education standards for the Digital Arts & Design pathway, preparing students for careers in graphic design, digital media, and visual communications.
Responsibilities
Teach Digital Arts & Design courses aligned with Tennessee CTE standards
Provide hands-on instruction in graphic design, digital illustration, typography, layout, and visual communication
Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Develop project-based learning experiences and support student portfolio development
Integrate career readiness skills and support industry credential opportunities
Collaborate with local industry partners to support career exploration and work-based learning
Participate in program advisory committees and professional development related to CTE programs
Qualifications
Valid Tennessee teaching license with endorsement in Graphic Communications or a related Arts, A/V Technology & Communications CTE endorsement (related endorsements below).
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital media, visual communications, or a related field OR Eligibility for a Tennessee Occupational Teaching License with relevant industry experience in graphic design or digital media
