Systems Research Inc. (SRI) is hiring a Business Development Manager to build, grow, and own Aerospace and Defense accounts. This is a hunter‑led, full‑desk role where you are responsible for winning the work, managing the client relationship, and recruiting to fulfill the job orders you create .

You hunt and open accounts

You own and grow client relationships

You write and manage job orders

You recruit to deliver results

What you’ll do
Business Development & Hunting (Primary Driver)

Prospect and develop new Aerospace & Defense clients

Open relationships with hiring managers, engineering leaders, and program owners

Drive outbound activity through calls, referrals, and targeted outreach

Lead discovery conversations to uncover real hiring needs

Convert conversations into qualified, written job orders

Negotiate fees, terms, and search scope

Build a personal book of business designed for repeat and long‑term work

Account Management & Job Order Ownership

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients you bring in

Own job intake, expectations, urgency, and communication cadence

Refine requirements as programs evolve and priorities change

Identify additional hiring needs within existing accounts

Protect margins while delivering quality results

Recruit talent for Aerospace & Defense programs

Source, screen, and interview candidates aligned to job‑specific criteria

Present candidates with strong written summaries tied to business needs

Manage interviews, feedback, offers, and closes

Execute searches yourself and leverage internal support as volume grows

What success looks like

Consistent new job orders created through your outreach

Growing, repeat client accounts that rely on SRI as a primary partner

Closed placements that you originated and fulfilled

Revenue tied directly to your own activity and execution

What we’re looking for

2+ years of full‑desk or sales experience

Proven ability to hunt, close, and manage client relationships

Comfort owning both sales and delivery outcomes
