The Planner reports directly to the Procurement Director Springfield. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring proper planning, coordinating, and optimizing production schedules and supply chain activities to guarentee on-time delivery of products. This role manages demand forecasting, production planning, inventory control, and supplier coordination to balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity and material availability. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with supply chain planning systems and cross-functional collaboration.

key responsibilities
Production Planning
Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure production plans are executed efficiently.
Adjust production schedules as needed to respond to demand changes, supply constraints, or operational issues.
Supply Chain Coordination
Collaborate with procurement and logistics team to ensure proper data in the ERP system, stock optimization and timely availability of raw materials and components for production.
Monitor supplier delivery schedules and address potential delays or shortages.
Maintain effective communication between procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams.
Demand & Inventory Planning
Analyze sales forecasts and historical demand data to plan production requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
Support inventory control processes including cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
data analysis & reporting
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, service levels, and production efficiency.
Generate reports and planning metrics for management.
Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Identify bottlenecks in the production and supply chain processes.
Recommend process improvements and implement best practices in planning and scheduling.
Support supply chain optimization initiatives and system improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
experience
2–5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain planning, or operations.
Experience working in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred.
SKILLS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, forecasting, data analysis).
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
