About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to take on a high-impact leadership role with true ownership of the accounting function. This position is pivotal in a growing organization that is preparing for significant portfolio expansion, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build, lead, and shape the accounting team and processes during this key growth phase. The role also involves being a strategic partner to the CFO, with a focus on cash flow, financial strategy, and scaling the finance function.

Key responsibilities for the Head of Accounting include leading and developing the accounting team, overseeing financial reporting, and managing accounting and compliance for residential real estate. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' of accounting experience within real estate, with a strong preference for those with residential and HUD exposure. Proven leadership experience in managing and developing accounting teams, as well as a background in financial reporting for external stakeholders and investors, is essential. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA or Master's degree being preferred. The role offers the opportunity to create structure, improve processes, and elevate the overall finance function, and the candidate should be prepared for a hybrid work schedule with a collaborative leadership team.
