About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Accounting to take on a pivotal role with full ownership of the accounting function. The successful candidate will be a key leader during active portfolio expansion, with the opportunity to build and shape the accounting team. This high-visibility position involves leading, developing, and scaling the accounting team, overseeing financial reporting, and managing residential real estate and HUD accounting and compliance. The VP of Accounting will also be a strategic partner to the CFO, particularly in the areas of cash flow, forecasting, and scaling the finance function.

Applicants for the VP of Accounting role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of accounting experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in residential real estate and HUD. The role requires a proven track record in leading and developing teams at a senior level, as well as a strong background in investor and external financial reporting. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA or Master's degree being preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to influence and make real-time decisions, and will be comfortable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
