Administrative Support For Guidance Counselors

Perform duties to provide administrative support to guidance counselors and to maintain student records. This is a 1.0 FTE, 12 month position. Position start date: July 2026. Answer incoming telephone calls for information regarding the school, registration, special events or other topics, provide appropriate assistance or take message and refer to appropriate staff. Greet visitors or students, provide appropriate information or assistance, or refer to appropriate staff. Assist new students and parents by providing building tours, explaining registration process and completing appropriate documentation. Enroll and schedule new students in student computer system. Input changes to student schedules as requested and update student locator cards accordingly. Maintain enrollment counts and provide reports as needed. Prepare new student registration packets. Prepare files for transferring students and forward to new school. Set up bus route and schedule, notify students of changes as needed and maintain database. Coordinate mailing of report cards. Assist in updating course catalog and master schedule. Assist in school registration process. Provide general clerical assistance to guidance counselors and administrative staff: word processing, report generation, maintain schedules, copying, filing, distribute mail, faxing, or data entry. Use personal computer and general office equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
