
FP&A Associate

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Wholistic financial management of a portfolio of ~1GW of thermal and utility-scale renewable power plants in operations.
Monthly performance review, monthly forecasting of EBITDA and earnings, annual budgeting, identifying financial risk and opportunities, working with asset management and operations leaders to optimize financial performance.
Support lender and tax equity relationship and reporting.
Core Competencies
Ability to coordinate different projects cross functional; influence without direct authority.
Good communicator, able to tell business driver stories from the numbers.
Good analytical and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to zoom out and see the big picture.
Proven ability to produce high quality work and meet deadlines.
Experience moving multiple projects forward and juggling competing priorities.
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in preparing and coordinating budgets, forecasts, and related reporting.
Strong understanding of GAAP including experience with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows.
Ability to work effectively with accounting systems (SAP, BPC, Anaplan, or similar).
Experience building 3-statement financial models from scratch.
Has experience with financial oversight for renewable power plants or thermal power plants. Coal power plant experience is a plus.
Fluent in English (required); proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or a relevant field.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $105,000 and $131,325/year; base pay may vary based on location, experience, and role. Total compensation may include annual bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (vacation, sick leave, parental leave). The candidate will be at-will; company reserves the right to modify compensation and discretionary benefits.
