About the role
We are looking for an employee that can work in a fast‑paced office setting to help post daily payments to patient accounts electronically and manually.
Supervision
Received: Reports to Insurance and Billing Supervisor. Exercised: None.
Typical Physical Demands
Requires prolonged standing or sitting while working in an office environment. Requires some bending or stretching. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
Typical Working Conditions
Normal office environment.
Responsibilities
Data entry of information outlined on the EOB to appropriate Nextgen accounts for patients.
Balance information between Waystar and Nextgen.
Maintain working knowledge of all insurance carrier guidelines in payment posting.
Serve as contact for Insurance and Billing staff regarding posting questions/inquiries.
Assist in problem solving with other posters to determine inconsistencies in posting.
Work as a contributing member of a team to keep departments running smoothly.
Participate in in‑service education, staff meetings, and other continuing education programs to maintain optimal technical knowledge.
Attend safety classes and compliance training as offered by Physicians East, PA.
Assist with other duties or projects as needed.
Location & Commitments
Full‑time role based at our Greenville Arlington Blvd location, Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care of, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner. Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.
Candidate Requirements
1‑3 years’ experience with reading and interpreting Explanation of Benefits for all insurance carriers. Working knowledge of PC and Windows‑based products. Accuracy in key‑punch operations including adding machine. Must have strong sense of team commitment, which includes meeting deadlines, punctuality, and excellent follow‑through and feedback. Must display a high level of integrity and initiative.
