Hospitality Controller

A privately owned hospitality organization is hiring a Controller to lead its financial operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a dynamic, service-based environment that includes golf, dining, and events. The Controller will play a key role in both day-to-day accounting operations and strategic financial decision-making, while also interacting with membership on financial matters. 100% Onsite with tons of flex
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and cash management
Lead month-end close and prepare accurate, timely financial statements
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis for leadership
Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets
Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card accounts
Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory requirements
Partner with ownership and department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations
Supervise and mentor a small accounting team
Oversee membership billing, dues, and member account management
Monitor and collect past-due balances while maintaining strong member relationships
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and member inquiries
Ensure accuracy across POS and member accounting systems
Participate in membership meetings and present financial insights as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership exposure
Background in hospitality or service-based industries strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
