in the Waukesha area to hire an experienced
Controller . This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while overseeing core accounting and financial reporting functions in a regulated environment.
What You'll Do:
Provide leadership and oversight of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and correspondent banking activities
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Prepare and analyze financial information, including general ledger activity, regulatory reports, and key performance metrics
Partner with senior finance leadership on monthly board reporting, quarterly regulatory filings, budgets, and forecasts
Support annual financial statement audits and regulatory examinations
Monitor and analyze loan and deposit yields, providing insight into balance sheet performance and profitability trends
Collaborate cross-functionally to research, resolve, and prevent accounting discrepancies or process inefficiencies
Maintain and enhance accounting systems and tools, including general ledger and accounts payable software
Stay current on accounting, tax, and financial services regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices
Serve as a trusted financial resource to leadership and operational teams
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
3-6 years of progressive accounting or finance management experience
Financial services or regulated industry experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
