Project Accounting & Billing Specialist
Vaco Arizona is hiring a Project Accounting & Billing Specialist for a top client in Scottsdale. This is a direct hire, onsite opportunity paying up to $70,000 annually. This role is ideal for someone with construction accounting experience who is detail-oriented and comfortable managing both billing and compliance processes.
Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and manage AP inbox
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate vendor and client records
Prepare progress billings based on SOV and contracts
Work with Project Managers to track and reconcile project costs
Perform bank reconciliations and support month‑end close
Collect and manage subcontractor documents (W‑9s, insurance, etc.)
Track and process lien waivers
Ensure all documentation meets compliance requirements
Required Experience
Experience with AIA billing
2+ years of construction accounting and/or billing (AR) experience
Proficiency with QuickBooks
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: up to $70,000 annually.
Eligible for discretionary bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage and company 401(k) retirement plan.
