Job Description
Our rapidly growing law firm has an immediate opening for a full-time Associate Attorney with 0-3 years’ experience. We specialize in representing people injured by defective medical devices, harmful medications, sexual assault, and environmental disasters. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to learn how to manage mass tort cases, make a difference in the lives of our clients, and to get involved with common benefit work on various MDLs.
Responsibilities
Set and monitor the statute of limitations on each case
Manage litigation dockets
Draft letters to clients
Monitor dockets and ensure cases are worked up in accordance with court orders
Work with paralegals and partners to manage mass tort cases
Offer support and maintain consistent telephone and e-mail communications with clients
Monitor statute of limitations and upcoming critical deadlines for each case
Strategy meetings with attorneys and senior paralegals
Draft briefs and letters to the court
Work on discovery and document review
Write briefs for MDLs
Prepare for MDL depositions
Additional projects as needed for your cases
Compensation Details
Full-time salaried position. Competitive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k, disability insurance, and an FSA/HSA plan. This is a hybrid position.
Qualifications
J.D. required
In good standing in all states in which you are licensed
Strong academic performance
Strong research and writing skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications
