
Part-Time Quitman County Extension Administrative Assistant

Position Overview
Quitman County Extension Administrative Assistant – Part‑Time (16 hrs/week). The role serves as the primary contact with the public, greets clients, distributes educational resources, and performs clerical as well as QuickBooks financial management duties.
Schedule
Monday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Salary
Salary commensurate with experience. Position available from 1 June 2026.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in typing, filing, and computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
Experience with QuickBooks.
Background in clerical and customer service roles.
Ability to handle financial responsibilities and maintain accurate records.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain appropriate records for fiscal reporting and prepare accounting forms as needed.
Assist clients with access to Extension resources, including printed publications, online content, and diagnostic testing services.
Register clients for regional or statewide workshops, conferences, and training programs.
Publicize programs and workshops to local county residents.
Maintain the county website and promote services.
Facilitate conference and video calls to connect clients with county agents and state specialists.
Maintain office filing system and coordinate tasks with other county staff.
Maintain office inventory of publications and supplies.
Assist the County Extension Coordinator with personnel procedures.
Participate in staff conferences and district conferences.
Perform other duties as assigned by the County Extension Coordinator.
