DESCRIPTION OF WORK: As a Management Analyst 2 within the Division of Financial Policy and Operations, you will perform critical fiscal oversight and administrative functions. Your primary responsibility involves reviewing requests for the abatement and modification of individual assessments, making formal determinations guided by Pennsylvania state regulations. In this capacity, you will serve as the Secretary of Human Services' designee when reviewing liabilities imposed on residents of state-owned mental health hospitals and intellectual disability centers. Your role extends to providing technical support, including researching Medicare discrepancies and assisting facility staff with Medicare and Medical Assistance enrollment. You will maintain operational standards by updating the Facility Reimbursement Operations Manual and providing clear procedural direction to field offices. Furthermore, you will represent the department during Bureau of Hearings and Appeals proceedings and conduct site reviews to analyze the effectiveness of work processes. To support executive decision-making, you will also develop and disseminate detailed reports for various levels of departmental leadership.
