Customer Service Dispatcher – Trucking & Transportation
Pay: $20.00 – $24.00/hour
Location: Spokane, WA | On-site
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Temp-to-Hire | Must be available after hours and weekends for remote support

About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Customer Service Dispatcher to manage load planning and dispatch operations for a full-service transportation company. This key role supports daily communication between customers, drivers, shippers, and internal teams to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Load Planning & Customer Service:
Serve as the main point of contact for customers, drivers, shippers, and receivers
Plan, assign, and adjust driver loads based on availability, route optimization, and DOT regulations
Work with freight brokers to secure profitable lanes and manage required documentation
Maintain knowledge of DOT rules, driver hours of service (HOS), and equipment requirements
Dispatching & Driver Support:
Communicate with drivers via dispatch software, phone, text, and email
Troubleshoot operational issues and elevate when needed
Coordinate truck maintenance and direct drivers to approved vendors
Manage and update load details in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
Administrative & Operational Duties:
Ensure drivers follow company policies (accident reporting, insurance claims, time-off requests, etc.)
Assist with driver recruitment, onboarding, and retention
Reconcile load paperwork and support invoicing processes
Participate in regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or customer service
Strong sense of urgency with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and dispatch software
Reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Available after hours and weekends for remote support, as needed
