Overview
Akkodis is seeking a
Machine Technician
for a
Contract
with a client in
Denver, CO . The ideal candidate is responsible for setting up, tuning, and troubleshooting fabrication equipment to support high-quality softgoods builds from early prototypes through factory readiness.
Rate Range:
$60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
Support machine setup and configuration using tooling details and CAD inputs to ensure build accuracy.
Tune and adjust machines based on material type, thickness, and construction methods to optimize quality and cycle time.
Execute prototype builds in collaboration with assemblers, tooling engineers, and cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot machine and process issues impacting build quality, yield, or throughput.
Support scaling of builds from early prototype stages through pre-factory readiness phases.
Provide feedback on process optimization, manufacturability constraints, and design improvements.
Required Qualifications
Diploma, Associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
8–10 years of hands-on experience in softgoods prototype fabrication or manufacturing support roles.
Strong expertise in cut-and-sew operations and softgoods materials (textiles, silicone, leather, synthetics), including machine setup, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to interpret CAD drawings and engineering documentation and support scaling from early prototypes to pre-factory readiness with a focus on manufacturability and process optimization.
