APRN | Nurse Practitioner Full Time
Join a collaborative healthcare team as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), providing primary and women's health care services in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. This role involves working closely with physicians, management, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and legible medical records while demonstrating proficiency with clinical computer systems including billing and meaningful use.
- Manage time and supplies efficiently, supporting leadership in scheduling and cost-effective care initiatives.
- Facilitate patient care continuity by coordinating with community resources and assisting patients with referrals.
- Confirm and establish medical diagnoses, order and interpret lab and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and develop follow-up plans in collaboration with sponsoring physicians.
- Participate in quality improvement activities by preparing and analyzing clinical data and educating colleagues.
- Provide patient education, counseling, and support tailored to individual needs and developmental stages.
- Ensure patient safety by organizing care assignments and adhering to agency policies and standards.
- Engage in professional growth through peer review, continuing education, competency testing, and self-directed learning.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards, demonstrating compassion, respect, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for new hires.
- Proficiency with computer systems is necessary.
- Area-specific education requirements to be obtained and maintained upon hire.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the appropriate state board.
- Certified APRN credential required for all new hires.
Work Schedule:
