Looking for a part time position with flexible hours then this is for you. Office of Administration – General Services/ Vehicle Maintenance and OA/Carpool operations is seeking a Miscellaneous Tech.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
Driving state vehicles to and from OA pool locations and OA Vehicle Maintenance facility
Light cleaning of state vehicles
Snow/ice removal from state vehicles
Pickup parts from local vendors
Occasional longer trips outside of Jefferson City to retrieve state vehicles
Light mechanical repair, such as battery replacement, oil change, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Work schedule varies, two to three days per week Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
All You Need For Success
Valid driver's license
Good verbal communication skills
Team oriented
Applicant must be flexible, willing to work in a fast paced environment and have ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time during all weather conditions. Applicant must be comfortable working amongst offenders from the Department of Corrections that work daily at the facility.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
