Position Description & Qualifications
Receiving and Shipping Clerk
In this role, you will process incoming and outgoing shipments, verify documentation, prepare delivery paperwork, and ensure materials are accurately received and shipped. Your attention to detail will support timely distribution and accountability of Government property.

In This Role You Will

Receive and inspect inbound shipments.

Prepare outbound shipments and documentation.

Maintain shipping and receiving records.

Support customer deliveries.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum two (2) years of receiving or shipping experience.

Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with government receiving operations.

Familiarity with hazardous and controlled material handling.

Valid forklift license (4K–6K and stand‑up forklifts) or ability to obtain.

Valid driver’s license and ability to operate approved delivery vehicles.

A current OSHA certification or willingness to obtain.

Successful background checks include fingerprint checks and drug screenings.

Have the ability to work on‑site daily Monday through Friday while meeting our customers’ requirements at the Cheatham Annex, located near Williamsburg, Virginia.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation.

Pay Transparency
Salary range: The hourly amount for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. For positions on this contract, we will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor and the Wage Determination (WD). The wage rate will vary depending on the locality. Additionally, you will receive Health and Welfare Benefits based on the WD for the contract.
