
Product Demonstrator Part Time

DESCRIPTION
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The role includes acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers, and demonstrating products in a professional manner. The Associate must maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively intercept, engage, interact with, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports as per company policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Use the internet, navigate the company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents such as Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED required; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
Computer Skills : Proficiency in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates / Licenses : Local food handler permit may be required.
Physical Demands : Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step on a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product, prepare foods and beverages with required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities : None.
Work Environment : Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance : Professional appearance and proper grooming are required. Associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance in accordance with the retailer’s dress code.
Language Skills : English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
