Project Accountant - Construction
We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join a well-established and growing construction company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in construction accounting and job costing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects
Track and analyze job costs, budgets, and financial performance
Ensure accurate cost allocation and maintain compliance with GAAP standards
Collaborate with project managers to support financial decision‑making
Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
Maintain project‑related records and ensure data integrity within accounting systems
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of project accounting experience within the construction industry (required)
Prior experience working as an Accountant for a construction company (required)
Strong knowledge of job costing and construction accounting principles (GAAP required)
Experience in heavy civil, highway, or concrete construction is highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Experience with Sage 300 CRE or Viewpoint Vista is a plus
