The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the staffing of all client service hours. This position ensures that shifts are staffed with qualified caregivers whose skill and availability match client needs and that new assignments and/or scheduling changes are properly communicated with caregivers and clients. In addition, the Scheduling Coordinator functions as the “Caregiver of the Caregivers,” serving as the agency liaison with caregivers to foster engagement and promote employee retention. This role makes a significant impact on our daily operations and the ability to provide the best care to clients. If you are highly detail-oriented and an expert at managing multiple priorities meet up and see if there’s some chemistry there!
Responsibilities
Coordinate the use of our staff to ensure consistent quality of care for all clients.
Use a web-based scheduling application as the basis for all schedules
Create and maintain schedules for all employees
Contact caregivers regarding shift coverage and any changes to the hours of their regular schedule
Keep a “hot list” of all staff that can be placed immediately or used as a backup for all call off situations
Fill open shifts and secure coverage for call-offs or changes in client’s needs
Maintain ongoing communication with Managers, Caregivers & Clients regarding scheduling and changes
Participates in determining hiring needs, as well as interviewing, hiring, and training new staff
Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ experience scheduling in Private duty home Care preferred
ClearCare knowledge is a plus
Must be a good person and someone we want to hang out with (seriously).
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and telephone etiquette, and be able to interact effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds with a strong customer service orientation.
Able to exercise initiative, problem solve and apply sound judgment.
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
Must possess exceptional organizational skills and follow-through and be comfortable utilizing various technologies and computer programs.
