Accounts Payable Specialist
Under the supervision of the LMHS Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist analyzes, processes and verifies financial information to accurately prepare checks. Maintains files and documentation relating to check preparation.
Responsibilities
Analyzes, processes and verifies financial information to accurately prepare checks. Maintains files and documentation relating to check preparation.
Responsible for registers, journals, logs and associated government and non‑governmental reports.
Balances monthly reports to the general ledger.
Maintains the software systems including testing and implementation of updates.
Assists in recruiting new vendors in the credit card rebate program.
Balances, prepares and issues 1099s.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree in Accounting is preferred.
Effective communication with all levels of staff, vendors, and guests.
Ability to prioritize, organize work, and maintain flexibility.
Work requires the ability to set priorities, organize work and be flexible enough to make exceptions.
LMHS is accredited by DNV and TJC, and may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
