Job Title: Insurance AR Follow-Up Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)
Location (city, state): Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $18.50–$24/hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift (start times available at 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM – consistent schedule required)

Addison Group is partnering with our client, a growing healthcare organization specializing in vision care services, to hire multiple AR Follow-Up Specialists. This organization provides comprehensive eye care services and supports patients through advanced treatment options and strong operational infrastructure.

Job Description:
Our client is seeking experienced AR professionals to manage insurance follow-up and denial resolution. This role focuses on reviewing unpaid claims, identifying root causes, and working directly with insurance carriers to secure reimbursement. Candidates should be comfortable handling a consistent workload and navigating both payer portals and phone-based follow-up.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1.5 years of experience in insurance AR follow-up

Experience working with both commercial and government insurance plans, including Arizona-based plans (e.g., AHCCCS)

Ability to manage high daily volumes (40+ accounts per day)

Understanding of EOBs, UB-04, and CMS-1500 claim forms

Experience with denial resolution and appeals processes

Familiarity with NextGen EMR is preferred

Stable work history with minimal employment gaps

Key Responsibilities:

Review and follow up on unpaid or denied claims using payer portals and outbound calls

Investigate reasons for non-payment and take appropriate action to resolve claims

Submit appeals and supporting documentation when necessary

Track and identify denial trends to support process improvements

Maintain a daily workload of approximately 45–55 accounts

Accurately document all follow-up activity within the system
