Financial Additions is assisting a client in Dallas with a search for an Accountant (commission/property accounting).
This is a great opportunity to join a growing, team-oriented organization where you’ll play a key role in supporting commission processes, reporting, and overall accounting operations. The team is looking to move quickly and have someone in place soon.
What you will do:
Maintain and manage commission tracking and reporting, including deal activity and cash receipts
Support weekly commission calculations, payments, and reconciliations
Record and code incoming cash activity and assist with wire processing
Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly close activities
Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting packages
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure proper documentation
Support financial reporting and assist with special projects as needed
Cross-train on additional accounting functions to support the broader team
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2–6+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of core accounting principles with high attention to detail
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (ability to build, update, and troubleshoot formulas)
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across internal teams and external partners
Experience in real estate or related industry is a plus
Exposure to systems such as MRI or Nexus is a plus
Interview process includes an accounting and Excel assessment
