Benefits

Hourly Pay: $39.24 per hour

Sign on Bonus: $1,500

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, First Shift 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification up to $700

Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter

CDL A or B required

608 and 609 required

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Vocational or technical certification or postsecondary degree (preferred)

Basic tools required

Aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires), basic diagnostics and repairs (AC, electrical) (required)

Three years or more relevant work experience (preferred)

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)

Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire

Pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Must have at least 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑duty and medium‑duty equipment

Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance

Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable

Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision

Replace defective components as instructed

Work unsupervised on most tasks

Perform facility maintenance duties

Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints

Utilize shop management system and electronic documentation

Work in accordance with federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)

Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels

Access and use internal and external maintenance documents

Perform other support duties as required (e.g., Service Island support)

Complete SBTIII training within 180 days

Complete 2 OEM online diagnostic scan tool courses within 365 days
